Summary

Learnt a lot of new words for nearly all household items.

Progress

I’ve listed all the new words in the accompanying PDF, but in summary, we learnt how to talk about items in the house both near and far, and ask questions about these items. We learnt our first सुभाषितम about how to tell the difference betweek a crow and a cuckoo, which is a play on how even if the birds look similar, one has a sweet sound while the other doesn’t.

Thoughts

I missed the live class last week, but I watched the class recording and caught up. We did a lot of new words, it feels like we have completed nearly all useful household items, so there’s really no excuse to not speak in samskritam at home eventually. I spent time restarting this blog, so a few of the posts are actually pre-dated intentionally. I’m very happy that I am back here! I also spent sometime figuring out how to make flashcards, I actually wanted it to have visual cues and I used Prodia, an AI tool to get some images, but I am not a fan of the results, so I might just stick to reminding myself of the words and using my head to get the meanings. I hope to eventually share the flashcards deck here.
