Summary

The class was fantastic. We learnt to introduce ourselves and describe some of the locations of household objects.

Progress

We learnt a ध्येयमन्त्रं, which is an invocation at the beginning, almost like a pledge.

Thoughts

The Samskrita Bharati classes are structured so that it’s fun and easy to learn to speak, I think. I know the importance of complete immersion now: the teacher only uses सम्स्कृतम् when talking. The other students in the class are from a variety of backgrounds, so it makes the class interesting and kind of enjoyable. I think we’ll be making a lot of progress in the next few months, and we’ll also be able to make more progress by enrolling in the other levels in the coming years. I’m very excited that the journey has restarted now!
